Letter Before Action (LBA)

When an account is transferred to us for collection, we will create a file on our computer system and commence action for recovery.

If the client has made a formal demand in writing for payment of the account, and does not wish us to make another, we may be instructed to issue legal proceedings at once.
In most cases however we issue a Letter Before Action giving the debtor seven days in which to make payment of the account.

If there is no response to the letter then legal action is commenced.
